I met my current husband in 2000. We met on the relationship matching site, but found out we’d probably met decades before. Or at least he’d seen me.
It turns out, that although we met in California, we’d both been associated with Blaisdell Lake in New Hampshire. His family had a summer camp on the lake. I attended Girl Scout Camp Wabasso. He and his cousins used to spy on the Girl Scouts. And, yes, the time frame is right….
You might be wondering what this has to do with my new book available on Kindle. Bear with me.
Fast forward thirty-five years. Ken and I were dating. We liked wine and lived near the Santa Cruz Mountains. We spent a lot of time drinking Santa Cruz wine at Santa Cruz wineries. At some point we realized I liked to write and he liked to take pictures. Mountain Vines Publishing was born.
We published Mountain Vines, Mountain Wines: Exploring the wineries of the Santa Cruz Mountains in 2003. It’s way out-dated and we’re working on the second one. Life has gotten in the way, so as a stop-gap, I’ve pulled together stories about Santa Cruz wine, wineries and winemakers into a Kindle edition. The Tour Guide to the Wineries of the Santa Cruz Mountains is a handy tool to have as you explore the great Chardonnay and Pinot noir and unique winemakers who make their home in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
